Breaking changes 3
The minimum supported Node.js version is now 22.15.0; Node.js 18 and 20 are no longer supported.
The input is now an input factory (thunk) rather than a bare value, so synchronous throws are handled like promise rejections; an optional
finallyFactorysupports cleanup.The deprecated
mapMaybePromiseAPI is removed; usehandleMaybePromiseinstead.
Performance 1
On the synchronous path, when no finally callback is provided and the input factory returns a non-thenable, success/error factories run directly without temporary fake-promise wrappers. Promise and thenable inputs retain the existing normalization path.
