Breaking changes 2
The rule is enabled with error severity, requiring node:assert to be replaced by node:assert/strict.
Import resolution now follows TypeScript semantics, resolving each file against its nearest tsconfig.json rather than the tsconfig selected by the process working directory.
New APIs and options 4
The new rule is set to off.
The new rule is enabled with warn severity.
Discovers the tsconfig.json closest to each linted file and caches one underlying resolver per discovered tsconfig, replacing reliance on the process working directory.
Adds an optional typescriptResolver parameter that forwards options to eslint-import-resolver-typescript, merged over the default; passing an explicit project opts out of automatic tsconfig discovery.
Fixes and other changes 2
The Node base rules were improved.
All prebuilt configs now use the automatic TypeScript import resolver, preventing false import resolution errors when one editor session lints files across monorepo packages.
