Breaking changes 3
A new exports map provides import and require conditions with per-format TypeScript declarations, and exposes only the package root.
Deep imports no longer resolve because the exports map exposes only the package root; import from react-ace instead.
The shim is gone; modern ace-builds evaluates without a window object, allowing server-side imports without mutating globals.
Behavior and default changes 1
ace-builds now loads when react-ace is imported instead of lazily on first render; lazy-load react-ace itself to defer loading.
Tooling 1
A module field was added for older bundlers; main and types remain unchanged for legacy tooling.
Fixes and other changes 2
Fixed prop-types usage that would crash under Node's ESM loader.
A native ESM build is shipped alongside CommonJS, so imports resolve to real ES modules in modern bundlers and Node, fixing default-import interop under Vite 8.
