Breaking changes 1
Support for IE10 and older browsers was dropped, reducing file sizes; browser transforms target > 0.5%, last 2 versions, Firefox ESR, not dead.
Fixes and other changes 3
Fixes container prop forwarding in Victory Native.
Handles an empty theme object for error bars.
Handles empty labelStyle values.

Breaking changes 5
Text size approximations are more accurate in most cases, which may change layouts that depended on the previous approximations.
Zero padding on tooltip styles overrides label styles across other theme namespaces, so tooltip pointers start at their data elements by default.
Corrects labelPosition behavior: startAngle and endAngle were previously inverted.
Elements render relative to the origin independently instead of being translated as a group, allowing correct positioning within VictoryPortal; custom components may be affected.
style.padding no longer adds padding between the flyout and its label; use flyoutPadding for that spacing.
New APIs and options 6
The material theme adds polarDependentAxis settings, uses more widely available default label fonts, and reduces default label padding for boxplot and candlestick.
Themes can define polarAxis, polarDependentAxis, and polarIndependentAxis namespaces, merged with the corresponding less-specific axis themes.
Adds padding around label backgrounds, with a number or directional values; arrays support multi-line labels.
Adds label backgrounds rendered as rect elements behind labels; the prop accepts a style object or an array of objects for multi-line labels.
Adds the polar-chart labelPlacement prop with vertical, parallel, and perpendicular values; labels remain vertical when it is omitted.
Adds padding between the flyout edge and its label. Both built-in themes set it to 5 by default.
Behavior and default changes 1
The greyscale theme changes, including use of more widely available default fonts for labels and reduced default label padding for boxplot and candlestick.
Fixes and other changes 1
Tooltip themes are now merged correctly with label styles and props.

Breaking changes 1
This version uses the context API introduced in react@16.3.0.

Breaking changes 8
Multi-point tooltips rendered by VictoryVoronoiContainer are no longer constrained to the chart area by default; add constrainToVisibleArea to VictoryTooltip to enable it.
Renames the VictoryTooltip flyout height prop from height to flyoutHeight to avoid conflict with the parent-provided SVG height.
Renames the VictoryTooltip flyout width prop from width to flyoutWidth to avoid conflict with the parent-provided SVG width.
Functional props such as labels and functional styles now receive one object containing the props that control rendering, rather than separate datum and active arguments. Data accessors and tickFormat are unchanged.
Invisible ticks and grids are no longer rendered unless they have events attached, reducing interference with events.
React component primitives such as Bar and Path were replaced with function primitives; this is a breaking change for developers extending Victory components.
The default label is now positioned next to the center of the candle rather than above it; use highLabels or highLabelComponent for the older positioning.
Parent components now pass label x and y values matching the associated data point; padding is represented through dx and dy instead of being added to x and y.
New APIs and options 15
Adds a VictoryTooltip prop accepting x and y values or functions to position the tooltip center around its main body, excluding the pointer.
Adds a VictoryTooltip prop accepting x and y values or functions to offset the tooltip center from its pointed-to value; pointerLength is not respected when set.
Adds a label component corresponding to the close portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds labels corresponding to the close portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds a VictoryTooltip prop that moves the tooltip to fit within the rendered SVG; it can enable this behavior for single-point and multi-point tooltips.
Victory components using VictoryTooltip as a label now pass the overall height of the parent SVG to the tooltip.
Adds a label component corresponding to the high portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds labels corresponding to the high portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds a label component corresponding to the low portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds labels corresponding to the low portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds a VictoryVoronoiContainer boolean prop that determines whether labels follow the mouse position or snap into place.
Adds a label component corresponding to the open portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds labels corresponding to the open portion of a VictoryCandlestick candle.
Adds a VictoryChart boolean prop; it is true by default in victory-native to reduce the possibility of axis elements interfering with events.
Victory components using VictoryTooltip as a label now pass the overall width of the parent SVG to the tooltip.
Behavior and default changes 1
Style namespaces now include the new candle-part labels; when general labels and specific label styles are provided, their styles are merged.

Breaking changes 5
Dimension props on horizontal charts now refer to the target variable dimension; brushDimension, cursorDimension, selectionDimension, voronoiDimension, and zoomDimension consistently use x for independent and y for dependent.
Position values supplied to custom dataComponents from components such as VictoryChart are scaled for horizontal chart layout, so users relying on them may need to flip or adjust them.
For horizontal charts, x and y values in scale, domain, maxDomain, minDomain, domainPadding, and categories props consistently refer to independent and dependent dimensions; existing props may need their x and y values reversed.
Axis orientation is no longer tied to whether the component is the dependentAxis.
Horizontal charts no longer require flipped data; data supplied in the previously flipped format will no longer work correctly.
New APIs and options 1
Add the horizontal prop to turn any existing chart type into a horizontal chart without altering its data or other props.

Breaking changes 1
VictoryPie no longer provides pathFunction to Slice; this affects wrappers relying on the provided prop, but not users supplying their own.
New APIs and options 7
endAngle in degrees is added to each datum passed into Slice to make functional props easier to use; existing data properties are not overridden.
Slice now accepts cornerRadius as a number or a function of datum and active, enabling per-slice control.
Slice now accepts innerRadius as a number or a function of datum and active, enabling per-slice control.
Slice now accepts padAngle as a number or a function of datum and active, enabling per-slice control.
Slice now accepts radius as a number or a function of datum and active, enabling per-slice control.
Slice now accepts sliceEndAngle as a number or a function of datum and active; values should be given in degrees.
Slice now accepts sliceStartAngle as a number or a function of datum and active; values should be given in degrees.
Behavior and default changes 2
padAngle in degrees is added to each datum passed into Slice to make functional props easier to use; existing data properties are not overridden.
startAngle in degrees is added to each datum passed into Slice to make functional props easier to use; existing data properties are not overridden.

Breaking changes 3
Victory no longer supports installing from git.
The Axis / Grid primitive component is now named LineSegment.
The package exports a different set than before; it now exports VictoryChart.
New APIs and options 1
Victory is organized as a monorepo with separately named packages exporting chart components, containers, and related APIs.
Behavior and default changes 2
The main package exports everything exported from the newly organized Victory packages.
The package's exports differ from before; it exports shared components, primitives, and utilities, including LineSegment.
